Your children are invited to take part in a free, monthly Bible-based club for 5th and 6th Graders. In this non-denominational, after school program, students will explore their faith in God, learning how to live like Daniel did in the Bible, including: obeying God; praying and studyng the Word; picking Godly friends; pointing others to God; telling others about God. Though this is a faith-based program, students do not need to attend any church to participate.
Meetings will take place after school until 4:00 p.m. on five Wednesdays: 1/18, 2/15, 3/15, 4/19, and 5/17. In case of school closures due to weather on any of those dates, club meetings will also be canceled.
Click the following links for more information. Be sure to fill out the permission form and return it to the school office to register students for this club.

Hopewell Health Centers (HHC) collaborates with the Logan Elm School District to provide behavioral health services within each school in the district. HHC offers a variety of services, including counseling, psychiatric care, and case management. This collaboration allows students to receive behavioral health treatment in the school setting, which promotes an increase in attendance and academic success. Students can be referred to HHC by parents, school staff, or other agencies. For more information on HHC or its services, please contact Jennifer Murphy at 740-590-8791.
Congratulations to the Logan Elm football players, cheerleaders, and volleyball team for a great fall season! Special kudos to the football team for placing second in the mid-state league!
At Salt Creek Intermediate School, we are focusing on Character Education. Students are reminded about what it means to be Respectful, Responsible, and Ready in all areas of the school, including in classrooms, restrooms, the cafeteria, hallways, busses, and assemblies.
See this chart for those specific descriptions: Character Counts
Students are also earning rewards for displaying good character. They can earn extra recess time on Fun Friday, and they can get Brave Bucks when their teachers catch them behaving respectfully and responsibly. Brave Bucks give them the chance to choose a special prize as an incentive.
Brave Cards are also being awarded quarterly for students maintaining good academic grades and consistent school attendance. Click this link for details about this special program: Brave Cards Criteria.
We encourage you to partner with us in emphasizing that character counts. Please encourage your children to always show that they are Respectful, Responsible, and Ready no matter where they are!
